Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

To provide Specialist Palliative Care Services to the Nelson and Tasman communities, free of charge, in our SPCU facility and in the community. To provide specialist education services and support to other health providers, in hospitals and in the community.

Entity Structure

The parent, NTRHT, carries out the charitable operations of the Trust. It also has a retail division which currently operates 5 shops in the region, and it has a fundraising and marketing division to raise funds to enable charitable operations to be provided. Support is provided by CC 24112 which is a charitable Trust whose sole beneficiary is the NTRHT ( Parent). CC24112 maintains an investment portfolio. 3 of the four Trustees ( including the Chair) of CC24112 are also Trustees of the parent.
