Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Section III of the Ngai Tahu Charitable Trust Deed state that the Ngai Tahu Charitable Trust is established to provide and promote, for the benefit of Ngai Tahu whanui: (a) assistance to those who are needy, poor, sick or infirm, whether in the form of employment, housing health care, financial assistance or otherwise. (b) assistance in the development of employment opportunities in the form of training and vocational skills courses, work schemes or otherwise.
