Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Trustees shall control the Trust assets to apply both capital and income as the Trustee in their absolute discretion think fit for the charitable purposes within New Zealand. 1. to promote, encourage and support the establishment of residential care facilities serving the people of Maungaturoto and Surrounding districts and others whom the Trustees deem appropriate. 2.to undertake and execute any Charitable Trust in NZ 3. to provide residential accommodation and care.

Entity Structure

The Board is presently made up of 7 Trustees. Trustees hold office until individual resignation. The Board elects Trustees to fill vacancies as required. The Board annually 1. Elects a chairman, secretary & treasurer. 2. Receives audited accounts. 3. Appoint directors to MRC, which enacts the Trusts business, comprising 16 bed rest home, 14 bed dementia, 11 retirement units, 14 oyo units & a medical centre as a commercial rental. The directors of MRC meet monthly & a manager is employed.
