Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To offer support, fellowship and a holistic approach for the optimal well-being of people with Parkinsons, sufferers and their caregivers and liaise with allied health professionals the greater Manawatu and Tararua areas.

Entity Structure

The general affairs of the organisation are managed by an Executive Committee which consists of a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer and these positions are voted for by the members at an Annual General Meeting. There are also 7 other committee members voted annually to the committee. The positions are held by volunteers and a part time Community Educator is employed. The members pay an annual subscription and this goes towards the general running costs of the group.
