Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Our mission - Valued, Supported, Connected Providing referral services of community volunteers to organisations to build connections across Hawke's Bay. Key goals include advocacy for volunteering, recognition and celebration of volunteers and for VHB to be recognised throughout Hawke's Bay as the hub for volunteer excellence.

Entity Structure

VHB's governance consists of a Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer and up to 5 Board Members elected at the Annual General Meeting . The board appoints the full time Manager who with a part time Administrator and volunteer support, deliver the Strategic Plan. Volunteering Hawkes Bay is a member of Volunteering New Zealand.
