To collect the compulsory alms giving (“zakat”) from the eligible Muslim population of New Zealand. To utilise the zakat funds collected to assist the poor and needy. To operate a dedicated charitable organisation that will serve the needs of the community through zakat awareness, education, calculation, collection, distribution and advocacy.
