Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Our purposes are to advance the welfare of animals in Opotiki foremost, prevent cruelty, alleviate suffering, provide a rehoming centre, promote community pet desesxing, abide by relevant Codes of Welfare and do anything necessary or helpful to the above purposes.

We are based in Opotiki, our Rules state we shall have a managing committee comprising a Chairperson, Administrator and a minimum of four committee members. We do not have a national body however our principles are based on Rules of other like minded animal welfare groups. We have one staff member and our remaining committee are volunteers.
