Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

Bridges Church provides and maintains facilities in which a church may engage fully including acts of Christian compassion, worship and mission. Synergy (Cambridge) Trust is a Charitable Trust established in 2001 for the engaging in a wide range of work benefiting the community at large. The Trust is the ‘umbrella’ for all social, charitable and community services of Bridges Church, a body with over Thirty years history in Cambridge. Synergy Trust currently engages in, and at its discretion will, engage in any activities that promote the advancement and well-being of the community. This includes, but is not restricted to, charitable purposes as they relate to the relief of poverty, children’s and youth work, a monthly free community meal, as well as counseling services, helping homeless and unemployed, and those disadvantaged in any way.

Entity Structure

The entity consists of ; 'Trust Board'- manage policies and financial matters. They work in conjunction with the 'Leadership Team' - who provide governance to the church. 'Department Leaders' - look after difference projects (such as Community Meal, Youth Programmes, Visiting programme, Clothing Exchange, etc). 'Partners/Volunteers' - church attendees and/or involved in volunteerism. 'Staff' - The Trust currently employs 2 full-time and 7 part-time staff
