Charitable Purpose

The Discalced Carmelite Nuns are an entity whose main purpose is worship and to provide others with a variety of spiritual benefits by: *providing space and opportunity for worship and prayer; *consoling, guiding and praying for those troubled and in need by letter, phone, email and visits; *groups etc using our chapel and facilities for services, baptism, funerals and other celebrations; *providing opportunities for private retreats or time out; a Third Order group and other school groups; elderly people from Rest Homes and teenagers and young people be initiated into the Christian life.

Entity Structure

The entity has been established as a Charitable Trust Board. There a 4 Trustees. Every 3 years the Chapter will elect a Prioress and three Councillors who manage the Trust.
