Charitable Purpose

Complex Chronic Illness Support (CCI Support) is a registered charity working with a community-based, whānau-centred model of care. We exist to Empower People Towards Wellness by providing support, connections, education, and advocacy to members who experience complex chronic illness, their whānau, and their communities. Complex chronic illnesses include Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Fibromyalgia, Post-Viral Fatigue/Syndrome, Dysautonomia/POTS, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), and Long COVID.* Those living with complex chronic illness experience symptoms that severely impact day-to-day life, including extreme physical and mental fatigue, muscle and joint pain, impaired memory and concentration, sleep disturbance, headaches, gastrointestinal issues, and anxiety. Established in 1981 in Tauranga, CCI Support now works with members throughout Aotearoa New Zealand, delivering an essential service of support and resources.
