Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Primary purpose of the Torchbearer Trust of NZ (TTNZ), as a member of the International Missionary Fellowship of Torchbearers, is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all persons in accordance with the Holy Scriptures (Bible); to lead them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Saviour, Lord and Life; to promote the Christian faith in accordance with the Holy Scriptures by means of witness, service and fellowship; to arouse, motivate and support mission-oriented living, in accordance with Scripture, in word and in deed; and to strive to increase the Kingdom of God throughout the world, thereby being bringers of light (“Torchbearers”)

Entity Structure

TTNZ is incorporated and governed by a Board of trustees who meets formally 3-times a year and interacts regularly with the management team to ensure health & safety, financial and employment governance. The board is required to be made up of between 3 and 12 members, and currently consists of 3 individuals serving in a voluntary capacity. Capernwray New Zealand (CNZ) is the trading name of TTNZ, which operates a tertiary level residential Bible School and conference centres across two sites.
