Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The purpose of the Trust is to advance the wellbeing, inclusion, and independence of people with disabilities by providing support and opportunities that enable them to live self-determined, meaningful lives as valued members of their communities. In achieving this purpose, the Trust will: * support people with disabilities to identify for themselves what a good life looks like and to take steps toward achieving their goals and aspirations * encourage and enable participation in community life, including employment, volunteering, work experience / training, education, recreation, and cultural activities * foster personal growth, confidence, and self-advocacy through group programmes * promote social inclusion, equity, and the removal of barriers that limit full participation in society * work collaboratively with whānau, community organisations, government agencies, and others who share these aims
