Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The NZFFBS fosters individual and community budgeting skills through its national network of affiliated Budgeting Services. It provides these Services with training, resources, guidance, quality control systems, networking and communications.

Entity Structure

Legal Structure NZFFBS affiliated members (budgeting services) elect the NZFFBS president and confirm the national board annually. The board consists of the seven regional representatives, two tangata whenua representatives, two elected independents, a treasurer, a secretary and a patron. The board can co-opt other members if needed. In addition the structure has member elected district, regional and tangata whenua representatives.
