Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The mission of the HIPPY South Kaipara Charitable Trust is to develop parents' skills, knowledge and abilities to enable them to actively participate in the education of their children. To foster positive relationships within families and the community. HIPPY is a home-based programme for the educational enrichment of children aged 3 and 4, for the fostering of their parent's skills as educators. HIPPY is a two-generational programme working with both parent and child.

Entity Structure

The HIPPY South Kaipara Charitable Trust is a not-for-profit organisation which holds a Sub Licence Agreement and Funding Agreement with the Great Potentials Foundation to run the HIPPY (Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters) programme in South Kaipara, incorporating the five local marae.
