Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The purpose of Fairground Foundation is to create a better world. We identify social and environmental issues that are difficult to solve and tackle these issues head-on with courageous leadership and on-the-ground action. We will prove it is possible to do good AND create jobs. And we will inspire the world to follow suit. We will promote public education, knowledge and appreciation of the New Zealand environment and the sustainable care of the environment. We will support the Arts and other creative industries in educating and informing the public on issues of sustainability in New Zealand. We will encourage and promote the protection and conservation of the natural environment and resources of New Zealand. We will create a healthier and more sustainable society through courageous leadership and initiatives. We will educate the public on the benefits of sustainable living and the adoption of sustainable lifestyles.
