The members have recently voted unanimously, to cease being both a Registered Charity and an Incorporated Society. Our members are quite elderly and have either undergone life saving open heart surgery or are the carers of those having undergone such procedures. They have decided that they do not wish to continue under the rules and regulations of being a Registered Charity and Incorporated Society and the relative technicalities required for just the simplest of office bearers names changing, production of annual financial statements and rule changes to Charities Services and Incorporated Societies . The National body is a very small entity who operates a team of volunteers to visit patients in the Cardiac Suite at Waikato Hospital and as appropriate place them in contact with our small clubs within the North Island.
