Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Quakers is a national group operating throughout the World, including New Zealand. Kapiti is now a Worship Group under the care of Wellington Monthly Meeting. Kapiti Worship Group is autonomous with its own bank accounts but is currently in the process of turning over financial control to Wellington Monthly Meeting. The Group meets every Sunday for Worship and a Community Meeting is held once each month. The Kapiti Group supports various Charities annually.

Entity Structure

The main Structural entities are: the whole community participates in support of worship and special programs Clerk/contact person- to oversee distribution of information. We rotate the leader of the monthly community meeting and a recorder of any necessary notes Treasurer - oversees the book-keeping function, preparing monthly accounts of income/expenses Sub-Committees are formed on an ad-hoc basis
