Charitable Purpose
Within the Methodist Church Te Haahi Weteriana O Aotearoa, the Parish is a visible expression of the body of Christ in the Waterview area. Our Mission Statement says 'While affirming that we are one body in Christ, and while striving to meet the needs of our Waterview Church family, we aspire to reach out to the wider Waterview Community and offer a welcoming Christian environment for all ages and ethnicities'.
Objectives arising from the Mission Statement are:
1. To develop ways to promote and celebrate Waterview's cultural diversity
2. To expand on ideas to meet the needs of the non-English speaking members of the Waterview community
3. To find ways to best promote the Christian message to the wider Waterview community
4. To further develop Youth programmes which meet the needs of our multicultural environment
5. To upgrade our Church complex so as to provide well-appointed facilities for our Community's use and enjoyment.
