Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To provide a wide range of toys in our community for hire on a short term basis and to families that could not otherwise afford or may have a limited time of attraction. We also help to reduce the wastage to our landfill in our Tasman area.

Entity Structure

The Richmond Waimea Toy Library is an affiliated member of the Toy Library Federation of New Zealand, and is governed by a committee of volunteers with elected officers (President, Secretary, Treasurer, Grants Officer) and other committee members who undertake roles such as toy purchaser, rosters, toy repair, promotions and fundraising. Richmond Waimea Toy Library committee also employs three librarians on a part-time basis, each working between 6-20 hours per month.
