Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The Charitable Trust was set up to pay an income in perpetuity to provide scholarships to students of Wairarapa College, Masterton to assist with travel for educational, sporting or cultural purposes either in New Zealand of overseas and could include the Kirkham and Armidale exchanges.

Entity Structure

Public Trust administers the Charitable Trust as Trustee. Other Trustees are the Principal of Wairarapa College, the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Wairarapa College and Joyce Julia Kirsten Holland. The Trust Deed has named beneficiaries who receive scholarships from the Trust. The Trust Deed has established a Committee, made up of the Trustees that decide on the value of the scholarships, when they are to be awarded and the terms of the scholarships.
