Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Janet Frame founded the JFLT and bequeathed an endowment fund plus her ongoing copyright to the trust. She directed that financial assistance be given to NZ authors when funds permitted. This is our main charitable purpose. We also provide a valuable public service by promoting and protecting Janet Frame's literary and cultural legacy.
