Purpose & Structure


Charitable Purpose

To form and maintain a Pipe Band, foster and encourage piping and drumming especially in relation to Pipe Bands in Auckland City and elsewhere in New Zealand. Teach the playing and promote the study of all facets of piping and drumming. Foster and encourage interest in Scottish culture in all its aspects. To provide entertainment when requested as often as may be practicable whether at public or private functions, street parades, recitals or otherwise whatsoever. To purchase, Hire or provide music, uniforms, instruments, appurtenances and equipment which may be conveniently or advantageously used in connection with the affairs of the Band. To purchase, take on lease, or in exchange, hire or otherwise acquire any real or personal property which may directly or indirectly be necessary for or advantageous to the attainment of the objects of the Band. To do such things as are incidental or conductive to the attainment of the object of the Band.
