Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The objectives of the Wigram Lions Club are: 1. To promote the improvement of literacy and numeracy through out the community. 2. To improve our community by meeting the needs trough service and fundraising projects. 3. To promote the development of leadership and vocational skills in the community. 4. To improve - public amenities, natural environment, protection of human life, welfare of animals and social rehabilitation services. 5. To provide assistance of other charitable organisations. 6. To provide assistance to our community and other communities in times of disaster. 7. To otherwise encourage participation in the community on a non-partisan basis.

There is a Board of Directors that is elected each year by a vote of the club membership and consists of the President, Immediate Past President, 3 Vic Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Chairman, Lion Tamer, Tail Twister and 4 Directors.
