Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

WAT actions and directions are determined by the Trust Deed which details the objectives of WAT. These include the operation of the museum and the requirement to support and stimulate the artistic and cultural life of the Whangarei District. The trust also operates the Hundertwasser Art Centre with Wairau Maori Art Gallery (HAC-WMAG), which opened to the public on 20 February 2022.
