Charitable Purpose

The main objective contained in the constitution of The Mission to Seafarers, (Marsden Point) Inc is to promote the spiritual, social, and physical well-being of seafarers resident in or visiting Marsden Point, irrespective of nationality or religious belief.

Entity Structure

The Consitution states that there be a Board of Management, consisting of the Chairman, the General Manager of Northport Limited (or his appointee), The Mayor of Whangarei District Council (or his appointee), and any Chaplain, all of whom shall be ex officio members of the Board, and ten elected members. Currently there are six on the Board of Management including a Chairman, the CEO of Northport Limited, the Mayoral representative, a Treasurer and Secretary.
