The principal objectives of the Trust are: 1) To research & determine the sporting and other facilities to be included in any pool/stadium complex for Ashburton, 2) To raise by any means available funds to achieve the provisionof such facilities and 3) To acquire and develop such facilities.

Entity Structure

The Trust is a Council-Controlled Organisation with a Board of Trustees who are responsible for the day to day management of the trust. The Trust has a number of reporting obligations to the council during the year but is operated as an independent entity. Under the Trust deed the Trust has to maintain a minimum of 5 members and a maximum of 7 members at all times, currently the board has 7 members including a Chairperson and Vice Chairperson. The Trust also employ's a Secretary/Treasure.
