Charitable Purpose
"Supporting and Educating women with experience of depression.
Aims:
ThroughBlue is established to carry out the following aims:
- To provide a low cost, supportive, non-judgemental, accepting, safe environment for depressed women and women vulnerable to depression.
- To provide qualified, supervised facilitators to run a support group.
- To provide a weekly support group with the option for women to come to the meetings when it is appropriate for them; a fixed time commitment is not required for attendance.
- To encourage learning of self-help strategies by providing an educational discussion topic at each group meeting.
- To revise the group rules or agreement whenever appropriate to provide safety for all group members.
- To promote awareness in the broader community of the purpose and meetings of the group.
- To regularly evaluate the success of the group.
- To do anything else that will advance any of these aims, including organising childcare when necessary."

"ThroughBlue is registered as an incorporated society under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908 and is also registered as a charitable entity under the Charities Act 2005. The entity is able to transact, purchase assets and incur liabilities in its own name. The members of ThroughBlue are not responsible for the debts of the entity.
