Charitable Purpose

Prayas is a non-profit theatre group engaged in producing original Indian theatre in English, for the wider audience of New Zealand - in an attempt to share, integrate with and enhance the cultural mosaic of this land. Our further endeavour is to break the stereotypical association of Indian Culture with ‘Bollywood’ dancing, exotic curries & mystic spirituality.
