Charitable Purpose

Our Vision & Purpose: To champion the craft of comedy, so everyone can share a laugh. We activate our purpose through: • The NZ International Comedy Festival, which makes Aotearoa the funniest place in the world each May. • An annual programme of awards and Trust-produced shows that support craft and career development, and showcase NZ comedy to live and tv/online audiences. • Programmes, workshops and other activities that give artists access to professional tools and capability support. • Advocacy that ensures the comedy community’s voice is at the table in key decision-making spaces. • Ways of working that uphold our values. And we do this to: • Provide more supported and sustainable career development opportunities and pathways. • Make comedy spaces more accessible and inclusive; and ensure comedy better reflects the diverse communities of Aotearoa. • Strengthen the craft and reach of New Zealand comedy. • Build connections & a sense of community across the comedy industry
