Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

a) To develop the physical health, well-being and character of young people through participation in winter sports; b) To promote the awareness of winter sports as an activity capable of improving physical health, fitness and well-being and therefore of benefit to the community at large; c) To help provide the opportunity for people to participate in winter sports at all levels without cost being a barrier to participation; d) To facilitate the development of economic and social opportunities for the Otago region and wider communities through the provision of facilities and resources for physical activity in such a way that recognises and protects the environment; e) To provide ongoing opportunities in winter sports for people with disabilities; f) To establish and manage a Winter Games and allied winter activities on a regular basis in Otago ; g) To promote any initiative, programme, proposal or activity which supports the promotion of winter sport and participation.
