3. Mission Statement
The Charitable Trust will be an organisation set up to foster shearing competitions in Northern Southland.
4. Purpose
The purpose of the Trust will be to educate and enthuse people, particularly youth and unemployed, about options in the shearing industry. In particular the Trust will:
4.1 promote shearing skills;
4.2 organise shearing competitions on an annual basis and/ or when required in the Northern Southland area; and
4.3 provide other support and assistance consistent with this charitable purpose.

Entity Structure
6.1 The Board of Trustees will comprise of no less than three (3) Trustees and no more than ten (10) Trustees.
6.2 The signatories to this Deed will be the first Board. The Trustees will elect from among themselves a Chairperson. A Secretary and Treasurer will also be appointed from among themselves or from non-trust members.
Any income, benefit or advantage will be applied to the charitable purposes of the Trust.
