Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Manaia Community Preschool will endeavour to provide quality early childhood education for over 2-year-old tamariki until commencement at school, promoting and extending each tamaiti’s learning and development. We will aim to meet the social, physical and emotional needs of the tamariki in our care, helping each tamaiti reach his/her potential. Learning experiences will be planned to meet identified learning needs of tamariki within a stimulating, friendly and co-operative environment. Our curriculum is informed by the interests, investigations and passions of both tamariki and kaiako, whānau aspirations and our local curriculum via priorities for learners. We value curriculum experiences where discovery, play, curiosity and investigation are central.
