Charitable Purpose
The Great Escape is a weekend of embroidery tutored classes, held yearly, with the aim of encouraging the interaction between Guilds in the Northern North Island Region, keeping alive the tradition of embroidery and lace making techniques, encouraging creative (contemporary) skills, encouraging new tutors and promoting an understanding and interest in embroidery in the wider community.
