Charitable Purpose
The New Zealand Arts’ Education Trust is a charitable trust dedicated to supporting the arts, and arts education, within New Zealand. The Trustees perceive a lack of financial support for arts education throughout the country and undertake to redress the situation by dedicating time and effort to sourcing funding for worthy arts projects.
The purposes, as stated in the Trust Deed, are;
a) To provide, promote and develop education, educative resources, and community based mentoring projects in the arts.
b) To commission, promote and develop arts performances for as wide a range of people as possible in local forums.
c) To commission, promote and develop the work of New Zealand artists, with an especial regard for educating, fostering and promoting new and youth talent.
d) To identify and foster new and youth talent in arts disciplines, with an especial regard to the marginalized and underprivileged.
