Charitable Purpose

The Fiji Village Project is a non-profit student initiative, which aims to improve the health outcomes of those living in rural Fijian villages. The project involves Fijian, Australian and New Zealand medical students who are committed to addressing needs identified by Fijian village communities.

Entity Structure

Each year in January, a volunteer group of around 50 New Zealand, Australian and Fijian medical students travel to rural Fijian villages for two weeks to conduct basic health screening, improve health awareness through education, and install water tanks to increase access to clean drinking water. There is one coordinator from each country.
