Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The fundamental purpose of Christian Science Society, Tauranga, is to provide services of a religious nature. These are held each Sunday. A secondary purpose is to look for opportunities to financially help other Christian Science Churches in New Zealand where a need is identified, and also to financially assist other relief based charities ( religious or otherwise ) in their relief work in disasters such as hurricane and earthquake relief, and also organisations such as Foodbanks where we have provided generous donations of food for them to distribute. We have also made grants to Christian Science youth to attend youth camps organised by other Christian Science Churches.
