Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To be beneficial to the Community by providing, maintaining and developing a complex, comprising of sporting venues. Including but not restricted to the following, a community swimming pool and hall complex. To promote and develop swimming and water safety in Coromandel itself and over the whole Coromandel Peninsula. To promote an awareness of swimming as a sport that can be enjoyed by all from the very young to the older swimmers. In our environment where we have a lot of boating and aquaculture activities, we see swimming not only as a sport but as a necessary life skill. To provide the community with a swimming pool complex that is available to all throughout the summer months. To make improvements to the facility as funds allow like, heating, shade, equipment that allows people with disabilities to access the facility. To run learn to swim and water safety programmes.
