Charitable Purpose

To advance the wellbeing of Tongans and other Pacific people through services that focuses on community development, effective engagement, family empowerment, individual leadership and organizational effectiveness. These included:- • To support all Tongan care workers in New Zealand • To provide advice on Tongan cultural issues to health organizations, the Government, Government Departments, Educational institutions, and any other organizations or persons

Entity Structure

ATHWA have a Constitution which guide the organisation in it's work with Pacific communities. In accordance with the constitution, a management committee is to formed. The Management Committee shall consist of the Chairperson, Treasurer, Secretary, and their assistants which will include two ordinary members to be nominated at the Annual General Meeting. The MC shall have the power to make decision for the best interest of the association.
