Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To provide quality early childhood educational sessions for young children (birth to school age) through quality play experiences supported by a high child to adult ratio. Adults participate in the Playcentre Education Programme which supports children's learning and growth through their playcentre journey and beyond.

Entity Structure

Kaukapakapa Playcentre is affiliated with Te Whanau Nga Tupu Ngatahi/ Playcentre Aoteaora. Each centre elects office holders at their centre AGM which must include a centre president, secretary and treasurer who act as signatories for the centre. The centre members (parents and whanau) work as a cooperative group making collective decisions through monthly meetings.
