Charitable Purpose

Te Kainganui Incorporated (TK) is a full day (7.45 am to 5.30pm) teacher led Childcare centre, licensed for 5 under-two-year-old and 19 two to five-year-old from Monday to Friday.

Entity Structure

TK is governed by a volunteer Governance committee consisting of a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, 2 committee members, the Head Teacher and Assistant Head Teacher. As a co-operative (all parents and staff) have an equal vote in overall decision making. The Head Teacher manages the centre day to day, with assistance from the asst Head Teacher, and we employ a further 6 teachers.
