Purpose & Structure
Charitable Purpose
To promote thriving and inclusive communities by facilitating and supporting the successful settlement and integration of migrants and refugees in Aotearoa by:
1. Facilitating and supporting initiatives or opportunities that prioritise settlement, belonging and wellbeing outcomes for new migrants and former refugees;
Developing and delivering inter-cultural services of excellence that promote, facilitate, monitor and improve the economic integration of migrants and refugees into Aotearoa, and assisting migrants to access a wide range of health, education and social services;
4. Forging positive relationships between New Zealanders from refugee backgrounds and the wider community, as well as advocating for support and programmes to assist in the settlement process;
5. Co-ordinating input to regional and national settlement and integration policies and strategies;

Entity Structure
The affairs and business of the Trust shall be governed by a board (the “Trust Board”) of trustees (the “Trustees”). The Trust Board shall consist of not less than six (6) or more than nine (9) Trustees. The Trust Board will ensure the principals of diversity have been adhered to in appointing its Trustees.
The Trust Board may co-opt advisors from time to time as deemed appropriate provided however that such members shall have no voting rights.
