Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

a) To promote, plan, fund, develop, establish and maintain a functional and high-quality trail for walking, cycling, hiking, mountain biking, and any similar non-motorised recreation leisure activities covering the Ashburton District. b) To establish, implement and manage a system for the purposes of seeking, raising, accepting, receiving, accumulating, investing and managing funds for the purposes of the Trust. c) To seek accept and receive by public subscriptions or appeal by raffles and other fund raising activities both private & public donations, subsidies, endowments, gifts, legacies, loans and bequests of money or in kind for the purposes of the Trust. d) Other purposes include, but are not limited to, enhancing community involvement, consulting with landowners and entities concerned with land, consulting with the community on demand and develop the trail further where appropriate, entering into such business arrangements and agreements for the
