Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

We undertake charitable purposes which are beneficial to the Kaikoura community and elsewhere in New Zealand. This includes making educational grants for a variety of purposes and supporting a range of community activities. The Trust has provided a large area of land on the Kaikoura Peninsula to the Huttons Shearwater Trust for the establishment of a pest free enclosure to encourage the breeding of the birds away from the mountain tops where their nests are frequently ruined by predators.
