Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Safety and security of persons and property and general surveillance . To help deter crime in the area Community Watch is another set of eyes and ears for the NZ Police. We patrol residential areas, parks, schools, shopping areas, industrial areas, resthomes, retirement villages, hospital, golf and sports clubs. We also get ask to look out for lost animals or missing persons. We also attend community events re the parking areas to deter crime. We also help out on the graffiti programme with the CCC.

Entity Structure

We are a voluntary group of 31 members. We have an elected committee of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary & 4 committee members which are elected at our AGM. We are in contact with Neighbourhood Support Group. Although we are part of Community Patrols NZ we are our own separate identity. We welcome all cultures into our group. We are all focus on the same objective a safer community for all & to help out in a disaster.
