Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To create opportunities for people to recover, succeed in accomplishing their goals and reconnect to themselves, others, and meaning and purpose in life. RI International provides recovery and support services to individuals with serious and enduring mental health and AOD challenges. We support them to develop tools and create plan for themselves which support them to find their resiliency and strengths so that they can move through the cyclical experiences of mental health and AOD challenges more equipped with tools to manage and overcome difficult experiences and recover, or reduce hospitalizations and/or lengths of stay. Keeping people connected to their life, community, whanau/family, tai/friends and other supporters leads to healthier individuals and reduces the risk of suicide. In addition, RI provides Peer Employment Training (job training) to individuals interested in becoming peer supporters and working as peer support specialists and a cadre of other courses and services
