Reason why charity is no longer registered:

In 1987, I was the owner of a computer company but I wanted profits to go to charity. To achieve this, a trust (Bibles for Missions) was set up to own the business (later known as Uniway). When trusts were required to restructure, we were advised that the best way to achieve our objectives was for Uniway to donate profits into "Pacific Medical & Educational Foundation." However, since being registered, Uniway has only been able to make one donation into the Foundation. This was for $25,666 which was deposited on the 31st March 2016. Once it was decided to have the Foundation deregistered, an amount of $25,600 was donated to an approved NZ charity on the 31st March 2017. The remaining $66.00 has been used to cover bank fees.
