Purpose & Structure
Charitable Purpose
The Society is established and maintained exclusively for charitable purposes to benefit the community. Its purpose is to promote and encourage music, improve our musicianship, and entertain and inspire our audiences by:
a. providing an opportunity for brass, woodwind and percussion players of all ages and levels in greater Wellington to play, enjoy and perform music;
b. fostering the development of musicians of all ages;
c. providing a fun and enjoyable environment that caters for the musicians that play with us;
d. providing a progressive path from a youth band to a senior band;
e. entertaining and educating the greater Wellington community through a range of performances each year; and
f. doing anything necessary or helpful to the above purposes.
Pecuniary gain is not a purpose of the Society. Any income, benefit, or advantage must be used to advance the charitable purposes of the Society.
