Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

To provide charitable assistance to the West Coast community. a) To channel the resources of the Rotary Clubs of Hokitika, Greymouth and Westport, and participating West Coast businesses for charitable purposes within the West Coast community. b) To relieve poverty in the West Coast Community by providing charitable financial assistance, mentoring, or facilitation of goods and services, to individuals and families in need. c) To advance education in the West Coast Community by charitably assisting individuals who are unable to fully fund their own participation in courses or programmes that will be beneficial to themselves and/or others in the community. d) To charitably assist small non-profit or charitable organisations in their efforts to provide charitable benefits or programmes, including financial assistance, mentoring, or the facilitation of goods and services to needy individuals in the West Coast community.

Entity Structure

The Rotary West Coast Lend A Hand Foundation is a Charitable Trust registered with Charities Services on 06/06/2012. West Coast Lend A Hand Foundation is adminstered by appointed Trustees. The Trustees shall consist of not less than three persons and not more than four persons. The Trustees shall be made up of nominees from each of the West Coast Rotary Clubs, Westport, Greymouth and Hokitika. A provision is allowed for a nominee from a Rotary Club of the Reefton area if at some stage
