Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

Provide grants donations and support for any educational entity activity or programme in New Zealand Establish a centre of excellence in professional development for New Zealand educators of gifted students Provide travel grants to New Zealand educators to visit overseas institutions specialising in gifted education and to attend conferences which focus on the gifted Establish a programme which provides for international experts in the area of gifted education to visit New Zealand to be involved in the Fernyhough Residency and to present lectures and or workshops

Entity Structure

The Trust Deed states that the Trustees shall consist of those named as Trustees in the Deed. The Trust Deed provides for the appointment of additional Trustees as well as Advisory Trustees whose role is limited solely to participation in the management commitee and not deemed to be a Trustee for all other purposes. Currently there are two Trustees, being the Founding Trustees, that constitute the goverance board.
