Purpose & Structure

Charitable Purpose

The overall goal of Active Transport Trust is that Puketapapa/Mt Roskill is an active transport haven for residents and commuters. Specifically, the Trust aims to: 1 To promote cycling and walking as a healthy environmentally sound, sustainable and convenient form of transport; 2 To improve the image of cycling and cyclists, walking and walkers; 3 To benefit the community by assisting with the improvement of infrastructure and conditions for cyclists and cycling, walkers and walking; 4 To improve public health by undertaking activities that encourage active transport modes; 5 To educate walkers, cyclists, road and path users in order to improve safety for cyclists and walkers; 6 To do all such other things as are conducive to or incidental to the attainment of any of the above objects.
